DESCRIPTION

A professional 15% Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) peel formulated for controlled chemical exfoliation and skin resurfacing.

TCA works through controlled protein coagulation within the skin, promoting exfoliation and subsequent renewal. At 15%, it is positioned as a superficial TCA peel, suitable for professional treatment of concerns including visible pigmentation, sun damage, uneven texture, fine lines and selected superficial post-acne marks.

The treatment helps reveal a smoother, brighter, more even and rejuvenated-looking complexion.

BENEFITS

  • Provides professional TCA chemical exfoliation and resurfacing
  • Promotes epidermal renewal
  • Helps improve rough and uneven skin texture
  • Helps brighten dull and environmentally stressed skin
  • Helps improve the appearance of uneven pigmentation
  • Helps reduce the appearance of sun-related discolouration
  • Helps improve the appearance of fine lines and visible signs of photoageing
  • Helps improve the appearance of appropriate superficial post-acne marks and textural irregularities
  • Supports smoother and more refined-looking skin
  • Helps promote a brighter, fresher and more rejuvenated complexion
  • Provides a more intensive resurfacing option within the professional peel range

TCA produces controlled protein coagulation, and the resulting renewal process can improve photoaged skin and superficial textural concerns.

Ingredients

Aqua, Trichloroacetic Acid.

How to use

PROFESSIONAL USE

For professional use only. A full consultation, skin assessment and contraindication screening must be completed before treatment.

Thoroughly cleanse the treatment area and degrease the skin with Pharma PH Skin Professional Pre-Peel Preparation Solution according to protocol. Ensure the skin is completely dry before applying the peel.

Protect sensitive areas as required.

Dispense the required amount of Professional 15% TCA Resurfacing Peel into a clean glass treatment dish.

Using an appropriate professional applicator, apply a thin, controlled and even layer to the treatment area, carefully avoiding the eyes, eyelids, lips, nostrils and mucous membranes.

Closely observe the skin throughout application. TCA produces frosting through protein coagulation, and the degree of frosting can provide information about peel penetration. Lower-concentration TCA may produce erythema with light or speckled frosting, and visible frosting may not always occur with a superficial 15% peel.

Complete the treatment strictly according to the validated Pharma PH Skin 15% TCA treatment protocol.

Skin Type

Suitable for appropriately assessed clients, particularly those presenting with:

Environmentally and sun-damaged skin
Dull and lacklustre skin
Uneven skin tone
Hyperpigmentation and visible discolouration
Fine lines and premature visible signs of ageing
Rough or uneven skin texture
Appropriate superficial post-acne marks
Mild textural irregularities
Mature and photoaged skin
Skin requiring professional resurfacing

Additional caution is required for darker Fitzpatrick skin types and clients with a history of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, as TCA peels carry a greater risk of pigmentary complications when treatment depth or inflammation is excessive.

Cautions

For professional use only.
Must only be used by an appropriately trained professional and within applicable scope of practice.
Complete a thorough consultation and contraindication assessment before treatment.
Do not apply to broken, infected, sunburned, actively inflamed or significantly compromised skin.
Avoid the eyes, eyelids, lips, nostrils and mucous membranes.
Protect sensitive areas appropriately.
Do not allow product to pool in facial creases or sensitive areas.
Never leave the client unattended during treatment.
Burning, warmth, erythema and frosting may occur as part of the TCA peel response.
Excessive pain, unexpected or excessive frosting, blistering or other abnormal skin responses require immediate professional assessment and appropriate action.
Do not assume that more frosting or a stronger reaction will produce a better result.
Do not exceed the validated treatment protocol or attempt to increase peel depth by applying additional layers without appropriate training and protocol.
Use additional caution with Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin and clients prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Consider recent retinoid use, other exfoliating acids, waxing, laser procedures and other treatments that may alter skin integrity or sensitivity.
Appropriate post-peel skincare and daily broad-spectrum sun protection are essential.
Clients should not pick, peel, scrub or deliberately remove shedding skin.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store securely according to the manufacturer's requirements.
